The Surprising Effects of Regular Cannabis Use On Health and Lifestyle
First of all, this article’s sole purpose is to inform. I will neither advise you to try or stop using marihuana. After all, it’s completely up to you and your life’s circumstances.
The typical age of onset of cannabis use today is about 19 years old, or 18.7 to be exact, and about 20 percent of people in this 16- to 24-year-old age group use cannabis daily either by vaporizing, smoking, or consuming it.
Cannabis use in this age group for both males and females can increase anxiety and depression in the immediate years after regular consumption (2 times a week).
It becomes a real problem when users try to reduce this with more consumption of the drug.
Due to the signaling mechanisms involved, these individuals are predisposed to later psychosis.
The most important thing in understanding how cannabis works is that when THC and CBD enter the brain and body through smoking or consumption, they bind to the endogenous cannabinoid receptors and tap into the same systems that would tap into the endogenous cannabinoids that affect mood, energy, creativity and relaxation.
But they do so at a thousand times higher potency and as a result, your endogenous cannabinoids are displaced and have no way to interact with these receptors.
We don’t have these receptors to consume marihuana even if it can be broken down anyway, as many assume.
